Gruppo Due is a European type foundry founded by graphic designers Bruno Jacoby, Moritz Appich, and Massimiliano Audretsch, who met during their studies at HfG Karlsruhe. Initially created as a platform to finalise and publish their individual typeface projects, the foundry has evolved into a collaborative space for experimental typography. With the addition of developer and media artist Jonas Grünwald, Gruppo Due launched a new website that not only showcases their typefaces but also emphasises the relationships between different styles, encouraging their combined use.

Marking their five-year milestone, Gruppo Due introduced their latest typeface, G2 Airdancer—a variable sans serif inspired by inflatable dancing figures. Developed over seven years, G2 Airdancer features two variable axes and 18 static styles, reflecting the foundry’s commitment to exploring the technological aspects of type design beyond traditional revivalist approaches. Gruppo Due continues to prioritise storytelling, language, and creative exploration in their work, maintaining a balance between technical refinement and imaginative design.
